Carter’s My Plumber supports homeless in Indianapolis through sponsorship in Wheeler Mission 100 Holes of Golf. 100 Holes of Golf fundraiser raised for Wheeler Mission Homeless Shelter in Indianapolis. Β The Charity raises awareness about Homelessness in Indianapolis, along with money to support the mission. Β Wheeler Mission MinistriesΒ provides Emergency Services through temporary shelter, meals, medical services, and lodging for homeless men and women in Indianapolis. Β Their goal is to provide Christ-centered programs and services for the homeless and those in need.

Plumber supports homeless inΒ 100 Holes of Golf
100 Holes of Golf for the HomelessΒ is a charity event to raise money during the summer months, since homelessness doesn’t have a season. Β Last year the event raised $44,438 by 30 golfers. Β The golfers play 100 holes of golf in one day. Β This year, Joedy Davis, of Carter’s My Plumber, is playing the event. Β Joedy is an avid golfer, and is very excited to participate in this special cause to raise awareness about homelessness.

The number of homeless people in the United States is staggering. Β Many homeless are veterans who have returned from serving our country and aren’t able to find employment for lack of transferable skills from military to civilian life. Β There are approximately 22.5 million veterans in the United States, and between 529,000 and 840,000 are homeless at some time during the year. Β According to chipindy.org there are between 4,800 and 8,000 homeless people in Indianapolis on average. Β In 2015, Wheeler Mission served 311,000 meals and provided more than 133,000 nights of shelter to men and women.
