Here at Carter’s My Plumber, every Tuesday is #GivingTuesday. We have partnered with organizations that mean a lot to our family, company, and city. Take a look at just some of the ways we give on a regular basis.
Wheeler Mission
100 Holes for the Homeless is one of the biggest events that we attend every year with Carter’s My Plumber. Here we play 100 holes in one day to help raise $1000 for the homeless. Every $500 provides food, shelter, and care for one month. We also regularly attend luncheons and galas/fundraisers in support to raise money.
Salvation Army
Carter’s My Plumber is a Radiothon sponsor for the Salvation Army. The reason why Carter’s sponsors the Salvation Army is because it doesn’t discriminate, and is dedicated to doing the most good. Our support helps them to give poverty-stricken children something they would have never had, an opportunity.
Susan G Komen
In October Carter’s My Plumber donates $10 per call that we receive and match any customer donation. In October 2018, Carter’s donated $1,500 to the Susan G. Komen foundation. We have a pink truck which helps us make a statement about our stance to build cancer awareness, and for people to take the necessary measures to get screened. Paul (our Plumber) lost a dear friend of his wife to BC and he has all of his customers sign his truck.
Partners in Housing
At Carter’s My Plumber, we donate toilet paper to our neediest residents. On average we donate $300 worth per month and $3,600 per year. We determine this need after speaking with the Director of Support Services for the organization. Partners in Housing has housed over 600 people in the Indianapolis area.
Mount Pleasent Christian Church Greenwood, IN
The owners or Carter’s My Plumber attend Mt Pleasant Church in Greenwood, Indiana where they are also apart of Change for a Dollar. Change for a Dollar is a ministry of Mount Pleasant Christian Church that allows you to nominate anyone that you feel may be in need of some financial help. This November (2018), owner Jamie Carter, will be donating his plumbing expertise to someone in need and will be redoing their plumbing system.
At Carter’s My Plumber, we believe in doing good for our community. Here is just a glimpse of how we help!
